Orygen
Orygen is a research and development biotechnology company currently focused on products based on Hiltonol® for human and veterinary use.
Since its creation in 2012, the work at Orygen has been the result of the combined efforts of the company´s experienced professionals together with the support of two of Brazil´s principal pharmaceutical companies: Biolab and Eurofarma. Beyond being shareholders, both companies participate in the management and the development of each project. In this way, while operating independently, we have the cutting-edge expertise of the two companies for patenting, regulatory affairs and manufacturing.

Dr. Andrew Simpson
Scientific Director
One of Brazil´s most important scientists, with more than four decades of leadership of large-scale projects, combined with more than 20 years of scientific administration at the international level. Responsible for the management of the “Projeto Genoma” in Brazil between the years1995 and 2003, and working at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research´s international head office in New York in various positions, including Global Scientific Director, until returning to Brazil at Orygen´s invitation, to lead its activities in 2012.
Dra. Otavia Caballero
Research and Development Manager
More than 15 years of experience in scientific research, worked at Ludwig Cancer Research between 2004 and 2014, in the United States. Manages research and development for the company.
Luis Augusto Monteiro
Financial Planning Director
More than 40 years’ experience in financial and economic management in large companies and the preparation of economic viability studies with financial institutions and BNDES.
